Helicopter tours are Miami's signature splurge: 30 to 50 minutes over Miami Beach, the islands of Biscayne Bay, the Port of Miami and the Downtown skyline, some routes reaching the guitar-shaped Hard Rock hotel in Hollywood. Private flights mean the helicopter is just for your party; sunset and champagne flights are the most popular. Private small-plane tours fly a similar route for less.

On the water and on the road

A private yacht with a crew is the classic way to spend a Miami afternoon in style: lunch and drinks on board, a swim at a sandbar and the celebrity homes of Star Island, with jet skis on the larger boats. Quieter alternatives include an electric boat on the Miami River with wine and charcuterie, or a champagne sunset cruise.

On land, private full-day tours combine the city and a boat with a dedicated guide, a luxury van tour covers the beaches and neighbourhoods, and the exotic car rally drives supercars down to Key West and back over 24 hours.

For yachts and flights, the price is for the private experience, not per person; check what is included — drinks, catering, the crew's gratuity, transfers — and the passenger limits, including weight limits on helicopters.
